When it comes to knowledge building (and just general reading) I’m a bit of a digital-phobe. You could say I’ve been reluctant to fully immerse myself in the digital age – preferring a ‘real’ book over an e-book and a printed newspaper over scrolling through a ‘news feed’. We have so much ‘essential’ screen time in our lives that I try to educate myself through device-free means.
No surprise then that I’m late to the podcast party. It’s taken me until 2019 to embrace the expert knowledge and inspiration available through podcasts. I was nudged in the right direction after writing a blog post ‘the best wellness podcasts to listen to this year’ for one of Australia’s biggest yoga chains, Power Living.
I’m now convinced that there’s a place in my life (and yours) for podcasts – to make more productive and enjoyable times when a book or a magazine just doesn’t work. Like during a long walk or a standing only room commute.
